Roget’s International Thesaurus or Bartlett’s Roget’s Thesaurus. Both are great tools for effective writing. If you want to write well one of these two ‘index type’ tomes is indispensable; accept no substitutes.

The Hunger for Ecstasy : Fulfilling the Soul’s Need for Passion and Intimacy by Jalaja Bonheim Ph.D. An immensely direct, experiential approach to finding divinity and joy in life.
Sweat Your Prayers by Gabrielle Roth. Movement to free your body and regain your spirit.
Lunchtime Enlightenment by Pragito Dove.  Modern meditations to free the mind.

Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. A great account of this professor’s last teachings as he lived through and beyond the presence of Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS). Also, The Five People you Meet in Heaven by the same author, a harmonizing metabolism of life’s learning experiences or curriculum, after death.
The China Study by Colin Campbell One of the most authoritative and well-researched books I have ever read. This one is about the effects of diet on health and very eye opening indeed.
